Portfolio Art Posters Exhibition (PAPE) Volume 1 Issue 2 Invites Artist To Advertise Free

PAPE, i.e. Portfolio Art Posters Exhibition is one of my initiatives. The purpose is to try and rope in local artists, graphic designers to give them exposure through "Product Journalizing" instead of newspaper advertising. Consequences of level 5 log down in the epic attack of COVID-19 has left many local SMME's, musicians and artists broke and hungry without alternative employment solutions.

Example of PAPE Art Exhibition

Product Journalizing with PAPE

Background of PAPE Mission

The mission of PAPE while the intension is to offer goods and services through "Visual Advertising". The objective is more than to raise awareness to small business brands. A brand can be anyone or person selling goods or a specialized services, with a product cover page brochure or ad.

To raise funds and to support South African township artist, and graphic designer talent and skills. Our local  economy especially "self-employed individuals" and "entrepreneurs" do not have adequate and consistent strategic platforms to showcase their merchandise to a wider market, and tap for growth beyond their product footprint.

Constraints Facing Local SMME and Artists Growth - Is To Think Small!

Local SME businesses and traders seem to be concentrating on local street buyers' traffic. Instead they should be looking beyond that scope of current local buyers. Whence, PAPE exists to break this paradigm and convention, by venturing into "product journalizing".

We have to learn to invent new ways to find clients and customers, in unexpected places because our world has become a Global Village. Anyone anywhere is a potential client to your services or business

What is Product Journalizing?

Well! let's see if this will make any sense: Thesaurus describes the synonyms of  "journalize" as: "journalism", ", journal" and "communalize". The main reason I want to journalize my products, services or any other clients' items is simple; as opposed to normal traditional advertising on magazines or newspaper advertising.

I hope my reasons below will justify the amount of load I'll be undertaking to prove a point. The results of this will probably yield long-term fruits instead of address any short term business goals.

  1. To improve the odds of low budget struggling entrepreneurs, artists, graphic designers to reach a wider market of the local buyer - by becoming regional.
  2. We must find a more creative way to reach and scope a larger regional; if not an international potential market for us to grow and our services to expand.
  3. Give more exposure to these services and goods the opportunity to feature in a large Google search engine. This must be supported by your business website, social media or other alternatives.
  4. To create a new form of promotion for unique buyers like, Kindle readers, Book buyers, and the growing appetite for new media to find us.
  5. To explore benefits of the definition by Thesaurus i.e. "Communalize" or "Journalize" these services and for libraries to archive our  services in keeping with modern technology renewal.
Having said that! I personally think that the future of making our businesses and services known, will be to "Keep-A-Consistent-Record" of what we offer and do in our enterprises. I do not expect any excitement from people and businesses, as this will require dedication and commitment. I'm trying to invite those who have eyes and the vision about the future.

WHY?
Because, this approach might seems like newspaper or magazine advertising, and therefore it will come at a cost. The answer, currently is no! Perhaps a minimal setup fee. As most businesses have their banners and ads ready to flight anywhere.

It is not a newspaper nor is it a magazine, Rather; - it is a journal with deliberate efforts and dates for a calculated planned strategical to showcase more of these products in various places on the Internet to rank our business or services.

How Is This Achieved?

Let's assume that your business has a product catalog or brochure and several items in your enterprise that you need to find exact buyers for. Instead of distributing the catalog for the entire range. You only promote one service or product using a product cover page as an advert.

The Product Cover Page is what PAPE is all about "give more exposure" to the cover page. To promote any business, services or product by merely placing it on our collection of journals. My journals have various categories where these services can be showcased. (View the slideshow below).

  • Step.1 -This product cover page entices the customer to have an overview of the product or services. Thereafter, entices him to seeks more information about details of this product or service.
  • Step.2 -From the product cover page, we provide information that will lead the customer to your website or digital product catalog or place where the service can be accessed or seen by the customer.
  • Step.3 -These details can be accessed via your website link, email address, contact cellphone or online digital product catalog.
  • Step.4 - What the PAPE concept tries to do is to kill two birds with one stone. How? Well, first and foremost - some product cover pages can be so good, to a point of becoming the product itself.
  • Step.5 - Create an appetite for people and customers to read our product journal, as and when it is published. The market for online newspapers, magazine and product journals is over a billion readers per month worldwide. I encourage your business to feature itself here.

PAPE Comes In Three Forms - Formats

You can advertise your banner or artist portfolio, products, goods or services with your ad. This however, must comply with our basic requirements to showcase your wares on our PAPE exhibition list.

  1. PAPE Cover Page  for (SME & Graphic Designers)
  2. PAPE Banner Exhibition for (Artists or Musicians & Fashion)
  3. PAPE As a Voice of Political Revolt for (Social Activists and Communities)

These are best desirable methods we want to utilize to market and promote artists, SME's, graphic designers on our publications and websites. Sample clients product services, prior to being showcased on PAPE. Click Here

  1. Is this how history is recorded by writing and keeping journals? I notice the African folks, do not seem to record and pen their history. The only person I know who has kept the culture of African Wisdom and knowledge is Dr. Credo Mutwa. The rest of African knowledge just goes unwritten and later on claimed by white authors and historians. Why is this?

Potential Naturena Primary Transport Accident - Post 2000

It doesn't take a fool to know and to read between the lines or see signs of danger when children together with adults ignore Joburg City By-law   street signs and simple road safety precautions to avoid a major disaster.  For the last past 20 years I watched and observed Naturena School children, their siblings, mothers, motorists, taxi drivers, brothers and little sisters; cross the road toward the school without observing the stop signs and cross roads rules. Slowly It Builds Up Like A Preparation - For A Terrible Potential Disaster Waiting To Happen: Malta, Natuur and Vesting street in Naturena are high traffic congested roads in the mornings from 06:00 a.m. and 13:30 p.m. In between during the day you have taxis driving like crazy rogues not observing and adhering to the stop signs. From 03:00 pm to 06:00 p.m. it picks up again with afternoon traffic madness of homeowners coming back from work. Residents too do not seem to care much about safety and precaution...

My Political Contribution To South Africa's Liberation Against Apartheid Struggle

My Political Contribution of Art Exhibitions To South Africa's  Liberation Against Apartheid Struggle. Isaac Khonjelwayo Paintings and Art Collection reminisce the fight against Apartheid - Since 1976. On my arrival at the South African refugee camp I was received and hosted by Mr. Lefifi Tladi  & Khush. Lefifi was from Garankuwa and Khush, his colleague as I had known him came from Soweto somewhere in Tladi or Naledi. They were custodians and important political hosts who connected local guys with overseas escape travels and routes to Africa and parts of USA, Canada and UK. They showed me around the camp and who was who from South Africa in Gaborone - Botswana. The camp was truly a place of solace for these youth who got displaced in the capsule of time. I was relieved to see my cousin Simon Kgasi, he too was shocked to see me. Lefifi Tladi and Khush interviewed me to establish my plan and intentions for coming to Botswana. They explained the rules and conditions...

#Unemployment #Poverty #Death and #Looting Means Black Lives Don't Matter

It should be borne in the mind of every citizen to know that government does not know how to manufacture wealth or create jobs on their own accord. They absorb resources from private sector businesses and tax revenue collections, including investments from overseas companies and loans from IMF. If they did – there would be more factories and manufacturing industries in South Africa, than we could care to cope with. There would be more happy investors to put money in funding new development projects and inventions to boost South Africa's overseas markets to sustain our struggling economy. Our Democracy Has Been Trampled On By The ANC - They Are Not Committed To The Values and Needs of Our Society ! If they did – there would be surplus vacancies in all sectors of our economy to make everyone sick of making choices to take up job opportunities that will make them king of their skills because they’ve mastered their own craft. If they did – unions will cease to exist because the word “g...

Waves Of Turbulent Waters Art

Waves of turbulent waters art, by Isaac Khonjelwayo. Isaac has not exhibited his works before except in his house in Diepkloof Soweto to try attract interested art lovers and buyers, poor attendance made him retreat from his sacred pastime love of drawing. In the meantime he continued to draw until he felt the climate was conducive for him to start exhibiting. Mr. I. Khonjelwayo contributed a collection of his large paintings as a donation to ANC comrades who skipped the country in 1976 to settle in Botswana. His paintings went on auctioned to raise funds in Botswana’s Russian Embassy. A group of South African ANC and PAC comrades had to skip Botswana from South Africa’s notorious BOSS (Bureau Of State Security) which pursued and hunted all political activists to be brought back to the country to face persecution or torture. The theme of this album is called “ Waves of turbulent waters ” these were the early days of my art works from 1975 to late 80’s. ...
